We’ve just released our Personal Appointments feature!  With this new feature, you can set up non-client appointments in Owl to help keep your practice life in order.

HOW TO SET UP A PERSONAL APPOINTMENT

Now, when you set up an appointment in Owl, you’ll see a new field named EVENT TYPE.  By default it is set to “Client” so you can set up billable client appointments, but you can change it to “Personal” to schedule an hourly or all-day personal appointment.  It’s that easy to do!

If you’re using Owl’s Group Edition, you’ll also notice a new name on the left-hand side of the Calendar called Other.  This will allow you to set up non-therapist-specific appointments in the Calendar (for example, “Closed for Canada Day”).

Personal Appointments has been a much-requested feature, so we hope you find it useful!

OTHER FEATURE UPDATES:

If you process receipts in advance for your clients, you can now edit the Payment Method and Confirmation Number fields for a Receipt after it’s been created.  The Receipt will then be updated with this new information.  To do this, simply click on the pencil icon in the Balance Owing tab and update as needed.  Make sure to click “Save” when you’re done.

Also, we’ve improved the time selector in Owl so it defaults to the appropriate time for your appointment (and not 12 a.m.!).
